“Maybe so, but I don’t know what it is. Won’t you help me, Manny? I’m scared they’re going to bite me. I don’t like snakes,” she said pitifully. “And you have lots of them at home, right? Surely you’re smart enough to get rid of them and not be bitten.” She stood up, picking up her shoes and carrying them to the door before going to the kitchen. “You can even stay here until you go home. Or I could give you the keys to the Sicily house, though Lovino is staying in Sicily, too.”

He sighed. “Fine, I’ll help you. I don’t mind snakes. One of the most important deities in Aztec culture was a feathered serpent y’know!” he said with a smile. “It’s the scorpions that bother me more than anything.” At the mention of the other Italian, his brows knit together. “I’m not going anywhere near that piece of shit.”

She smiled brightly. “Grazie, Manuel~” she said sweetly. “And I thought you’d like here better because none of them live right around here, so that’s why I offered here, first. It’s certainly better than Roma.”

De nada. Buuuut, there better be some sort of prize when I help you get rid of ‘em. Food would suffice.” He pouted. “Anywhere is better than being near that asshole.”

O, es otro México. *waves hello*

Ha ha, buenas noches ~ *waves back*

*nods* Buenas noches. ¿Cómo estas?

Muy bien ~ ¿Usted?

Mas o menos.

Well, at least it’s not bad ah ha. How has el gringo been treating you? Well I hope.

Ay, pues…I may or may not have to go on a date with him.

¿QUE? Why?! Did he blackmail you?!

*chuckles dryly* No, I doubt he would do that.

It was one of those ‘first person in my ask gets a date’ that have the same effects of a magic anon…It’s quite awkward, really.

Oh those… Man I hate those. *laughs* Well, are you excited or full of dismay? By your facial expressions when you speak about him, I’m assuming it’s the former. *smirks*

She smirked, playing with a lock of her hair. “Really? So you wouldn’t mind coming down to Napoli and helping me? I have a…” she paused, glancing at the window and the lit-up vineyard. She could swear she could see the cobras winding around each other in  between the vines. “I have a bit of a snake problem.” The woman put on a pathetic tone of voice, like she was particularly scared. “And I don’t know what to do, they’re everywhere and nobody is willing to get rid of them, so I can’t  even go outside. There were three on my porch this morning.”

“Snake problem? What the hell happened? Pet store mishap?” he laughed. “And why is it that you only call me when you want something? I’m hurt Catalina.”

“They’re cobras, Manuel,” she pouted. “More like il Diavolo himself came and decided to dump his personal collection of poisonous things in the dead center of my vineyard.” Swinging her foot, she hummed. “Have I told you how handsome you are lately?”

“Where the fuck did you get cobras from?” he asked, now in complete shock. “Well you aren’t exactly the nicest person so I’m not too surprised that el diablo wanted to send you a few gifts.” He smirked. “No, you never tell me, but it’s nice to hear. What’s with the sudden change in attitude? I don’t speak with you for months and then…this happens.”

“How would I know? Nothing but dogs and people one day, and then poof, infested the next.” She shrugged, pursing her lips. “Ouch, bello. I’m a perfectly nice person. People just tend to push my buttons.” Huffing, she glanced at the clock again. “I keep meaning to call you, but such a time difference is hard.”

“Well there’s gotta be a reason for it! Cobras don’t come just outta nowhere!” He gave a short laugh. “When you wanna be. But then again we never got along very well, right? And you can always send me an email or something. We do have internet now y’know.”
